Josh St. Louis

Principal Josh St. Louis

Josh St. Louis is principal at Robert Asp Elementary. He started his career in education after graduating from the University of Minnesota in 2003. He spent his first two years teaching fourth grade in the suburbs of St. Paul. St. Louis joined Moorhead Area Public Schools in 2006 and spent ten years as an elementary teacher. During that time he earned his master’s degree from the University of Minnesota, as well as his principal’s license from Minnesota State University Moorhead. In 2015 he was hired as the assistant principal at S.G. Reinertsen and became principal in 2017. He believes strongly that being an educator is his calling. St. Louis’ mission is to make sure every student feels that our school is the greatest place on Earth. He is married and has three kids. His kids are his “why” for everything he does, while also giving St. Louis great insight into Moorhead’s K-12 programming. In his free time, he is an avid runner. No matter the weather, St. Louis loves to get outside, even in the cold of winter and the heat of summer.
