Moorhead Area Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Brandon Lunak presented Lindsey Lindell with the district’s Spud Spirit Award for January 2024. Lindsey is a third grade teacher at Dorothy Dodds Elementary. She is in her first year with the district.
Surprising Lindsey in her classroom with the award, Dr. Lunak said, “You keep a great schedule, keep your parents informed and you’re fantastic at praising positive behaviors.”
Lindsey’s nominator praised how her students listened and had calm bodies, saying that she “is working magic” with her class. The nominator shared that when Miss Lindell heard that her daughter has a special learning plan, she responded, ”Then I am so glad she is in my class.” The nominator concluded, “She is truly a one of a kind teacher.”
