Demolition of the old MHS started in March, and has continued through April and now into May. A majority of the old structure is now down, with crews starting on the south side of the building before focusing on the areas closest to the new MHS during weekends and no-school days in April.
Some parts of the previous building will remain, as the field house and Sports Center are part of the new Moorhead High School footprint.
Crews are projecting the demolition to finish at the end of May, which will make way for the start of construction for Phase 2. Phase 2 is scheduled to open in 2026.
