Disney's Frozen Jr.

Moorhead Community Education proudly announces the Middle School Theater Camp production of Disney’s Frozen JR. Performances will be held at the Horizon Middle School Performing Arts Center on June 12 and 13 at 2:00pm & 7:00pm. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for students and can be purchased at the door.

An enchanting modern classic from Disney, Frozen JR. is based on the 2018 Broadway musical. The production, which features 56 students in grades 5-8, brings Elsa, Anna, and the magical land of Arendelle to life, onstage. The show includes all of the memorable songs from the animated film, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production. Frozen JR. is a story of true love and acceptance between sisters and Princesses, Anna, played by Jocelyn Larson, and Elsa, played by Bentley Feia. When faced with danger, the two discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood. The cast, music, choreography, costumes and set are loaded with magic, adventure and plenty of humor.

Frozen JR. also marks the last middle school production for long-time Horizon Middle School theater director Kelly Dubois-Gerchak. “We would like to thank Mrs. Dubois-Gerchak for her 34 year contribution to the middle school theater productions. Hundreds of students and spectators have witnessed the magic of theater, and have been moved by Kelly’s time and dedication to the program. We invite you to attend Frozen JR. to celebrate with Kelly on her final performance and thank her for her investment in students,” said Superintendent Dr. Brandon Lunak.
