Asp Families,
Brrr!!! We’ve got another couple of cold days upcoming! Hopefully you are all staying safe and warm today. Just a couple of notes on this chilly Sunday:
Weekly Focus: Taking ownership for our actions is the focus this week. We’ll talk a lot about what it means and why it’s important to take ownership for our actions. We’re going to highlight some students who have done this in our principal videos, too!
PTAC Meeting: We will meet this Thursday, January 16, from 6-7 pm in the Robert Asp Media Center. A school carnival and recess equipment will be the focus of the meeting because they go hand-in-hand. We need volunteers to run a carnival, and we need money to buy recess equipment. The walk-a-thon last fall was helpful, and a carnival would be, too. If you’re interested in hearing more about both please attend our meeting this Thursday. We hope to see you there!
MLK Jr Day: Next Monday, January 20, is MLK Jr. Day! There will be NO SCHOOL for students that day. We’ll remind families again in our email next week, but want it on your radar.
Lost & Found: Missing a new sweatshirt? Or gloves? Or even a water bottle? Please encourage your child to check out our Lost & Found area by the new gym and recess doors. We’ll probably donate items at the end of the month, so check it out!
As always, we’re watching the weather regularly as a district because we want to keep kids and staff safe. If there are weather related closures or late starts we’ll email and text all families, as well as add them to our socials. If you aren’t getting MAPS emails or texts, please contact our office at Asp to update your information. In the meantime, download the MAPS app from your app store. Again, stay warm and safe today!
