The school board approved the 2025-26 school calendar on Monday, Feb. 10. The calendar is developed by a calendar committee made up of staff and administrators from elementary, middle school and high school based on contract language and survey information from district staff.
Things to note:
School will begin after Labor Day to allow for maximum Phase 2 construction completion.
Kindergarten will have a staggered start on week one. K families will receive more information from their school.
Based on staff and family feedback, there will be no late-start days for PLCs.
Conferences for all levels will be held in the evenings to accommodate low family attendance during morning sessions.
A two week winter break will help facilitate MHS Phase 2 moves into new learning spaces.
PD days are reflected in the calendar and changes to the structure of PD days (flex days for example) may be addressed in the negotiation of the 25-27 Teacher Master Agreement as the current Flex Days MOU expires at the end of this contract year and is not reflected in the calendar.
Three weather makeup days are built into the schedule at the end of the year if needed as eLearning may not be used for every snow day.
Graduation is scheduled for Friday, May 29 at 7:00 p.m.
