Asp Families,
Happy Sunday! We don’t like sounding like broken records (or whatever is comparable in today’s era), but it’s another cold week, at least to start. We’re working to get kids outside so they have time to move and breathe fresh air, but it’s tricky. Continue sending them in/with all of their gear so they are ready in case we make it outside! Some other notes this week:
No School: Tomorrow, Monday, February 17, is President’s Day. There is no school in honor of this holiday. We’ll see you all on Tuesday!
Weekly Focus: Be a Giraffe Hero! We’re talking about being brave & courageous when sticking our neck out for others and why that is important. Our K-Kids leadership group has even created some videos of examples for students to watch with their classes this week. It’s going to be awesome!
PTAC Glow Party: Next Friday, February 28, is our Glow Party. Fliers should have come home with your child on Friday, so check backpacks for more info!
PTAC Spring Book Fair: As we’ve been sharing the last couple of weeks, conferences this spring are a little different, with only evening times on three different days over two weeks. This makes the Book Fair a little tricky because unfortunately we can’t have it open the first night of conferences. BUT, we will have it open one extra day after school so that families still can have the opportunity to shop! Days/Times of the Book Fair:
Thursday, March 6, 4:00-7:30 pm (during conferences)
Friday, March 7, 2:30-5:00 pm
Monday, March 10, 4:00-7:30 pm (during conferences)
Calendar of Events: This spring is going to be busy with all kinds of events at school. We’re going to do our best to send notes home with kids and update everyone in our weekly emails. But we also want to remind everyone to either download the MAPS App (check your app store) or visit our district website. One of the great features is the Events page because it lists our events of note by date. So even if you forget when something is happening, just open the app, select Asp, and then look at events and you’ll see what’s going on!
It’s going to be another awesome week!
