ASP Weekly Family Note

Asp Families,

Happy Sunday! First, thank you to everyone who came out to STEM Night last week! It was an awesome turnout and we saw so many happy faces! Remember, if you won an auction basket, come in and pick it up from our office. As for the student grade level drawings, Mrs. Moen and Mrs. Johnson will announce them on Monday’s principal video! Again, it was an amazing evening and we’re thankful for everyone who made it possible! Some other notes for this week:

  • No School: There is no school this Friday, April 18, and next Monday, April 21. Enjoy the 4 day weekend!

  • Excel: There will be Excel on Tuesday, April 15, but NOT on Thursday, April 17, due to no school on Friday.

  • Weekly Focus:

Bucket Filling is our theme this week. Many students know what it means to have our buckets filled, or to fill others’ buckets. And for those who don’t know they’ll learn this week. The short version is that we should use kind words and actions to build up others, rather than using our words and actions to tear them down. We’re reading two books this week (

    this

    and

    this

) and having more discussion as well.

  • District Survey: The district is inviting all families to complete a short survey about communication, funding, and budget priorities. Your input is important and will help guide future decisions. The survey takes just a few minutes and is open through April 25.

We’re excited for another awesome week and we hope you are, too!
