Becky Manske

Did you know that American Sign Language (ASL) is used by approximately 250,000-500,000 Americans of all ages? ASL is the third most-studied language next to  Spanish and French. Get started learning American Sign Language through Moorhead Community Education.

Becky Mankse’s class teaches basic signs for conversational communication. Her favorite classroom memory is teaching the grandparents of a Deaf student in our district, giving them a voice to interact with their grandchild. This course also introduces the history and culture of the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community.

Becky teaches both American Sign Language which is offered now this fall and More ASL which is offered later in the year. She works as an interpreter for Moorhead Area Public Schools and has more than 10 years of ASL experience.
