100 DAYS SMARTER & KINDER
Hard to believe we are nearing the 100th DAY OF SCHOOL on February 10th. Staff and students are invited to dress like a 100-year-old or wear something that represents “100.” Ideas include wearing stripes, hearts, polkadots, or attaching 100 pom-poms, wiggly eyes, Legos to a t-shirt. The creativity on this day in past years has been amazing!

We are excited to announce that Dorothy Dodds Elementary will once again be participating in the “Fill the Dome” food drive, with the help of our 4th grade student leaders! Between Monday, Nov. 18th and Friday, Nov. 22nd, students are encouraged to bring in as many non-perishable food items as possible. These items will be donated to the community-wide food drive which helps to stock the Great Plains Food Bank.
We are super excited about this project; in previous years, Dodds’ families have been amazingly generous and our school has been one of the top in donations! We are hoping to have another successful year!! Our goal this year is to collect at least 3,000 non-perishable food items. The class that brings in the most food items will receive a doughnut party and the runners up will earn a bonus recess!!!
Please start sending food items with your student on Monday, Nov. 18th.
Our last day to collect items is Friday, Nov. 22nd.
Thank you for helping with this very important effort!
