Dear Parents & Guardians,
On Tuesday, May 14th, from 9:30 a.m. to approximately 1:45 p.m. all 4th grade students at Ellen Hopkins will participate in the annual Spring All-City Outdoor Track Meet.
STUDENTS MAY BRING A SACK LUNCH FROM HOME HOWEVER, IF YOU WANT A SCHOOL SACK LUNCH YOU NEED TO NOTIFY YOUR CLASSROOM TEACHER ASAP!!
In case of inclement weather on Tuesday, the announcement would be made on Tuesday morning and there would not be a makeup date.
Students will be bussed to the MOORHEAD HIGH SCHOOL TRACK this year for the event. An awards ceremony will immediately follow the track and field meet.
The events will be conducted in the following order:
Torch Run and National Anthem
Boys will start at field events (high jump, long jump, softball throw) until completion, then switch to the track
Girls will start on the track and compete in the: 100, 200, and 400 meter runs, and 4X100 relay before switching to field events.
The switch will take place between 10:30-11:00
The remaining events will run in this order:
BOYS MILE RUN
GIRLS MILE RUN
AWARDS CEREMONY
Ellen Hopkins students should wear a BLUE shirt this day. Thank you!
