Students participated in Earth Day activities that included painting flower pots, planting, and cleaning any trash around the building grounds. 🪴🌱 #BetterTogether



Earth Day at Ellen Hopkins Elementary was in full swing. 🌎❤️ Classrooms took turns throughout the day to comb through the grounds and clean up any garbage they could find! The fourth graders even went out to South Park to clean up for the community. #BetterTogether

Last week, Moorhead Police Department School Resource Officers visited second graders at all MAPS elementary schools for a safety-focused read-along, sponsored by the Moorhead Police Athletics and Activities League. Officers shared the story of "Officer Buckle and Gloria," emphasizing important safety lessons. Every student received a copy of the book, and each classroom received a plush toy resembling Police K-9 Zeke. #OnceASpudAlwaysASpud





Excitement filled the Concordia College gym as third-grade students from across the district and Red River Valley gathered for a musical performance by the Concordia percussion ensemble, part of the Learning Bank program. Known for its innovative approach to arts education, Learning Bank aims to immerse students in the world of music. Throughout the show, students were introduced to a variety of instruments and able to immerse themselves in the world of music. 🥁
