In honor of Education Support Professionals Day, we want to highlight staff member Sarah Martin! Sarah is the Learning Resource Strategist at Ellen Hopkins Elementary and has been with MAPS since 1999. When it comes to her job, she says, “It’s awesome to get to work with all the kids at Hopkins and watch them grow from kindergarten to 4th grade. I love sharing books and helping learners grow, find their interests and explore new things.” #AmericanEducationWeek #SpudPride

MHS Student Council's Fill the Dome fundraiser has begun! All Moorhead schools will be participating and students are encouraged to bring in non-perishable food items for donation. Fill the Dome 2021 is upon us!
Help us collect food for the hungry in our community. Please consider sending non-perishable food items with your child to school. Fill the Dome makes a tremendous impact on our community and we couldn't do it without your help. Items that are most needed at the food pantry are foods high in protein and other canned items (ie. peanut butter, soups, and vegetables). Please send these items to school with your child by Thursday, November 18th. Thank you!

It's the little things for us! 🤗
Recently a parent posted on social media thanking one of our drivers for going above and beyond. We want to highlight John Rasmussen, bus driver at Moorhead Area Public Schools.
He noticed a first grader was running a minute behind. John made an extra stop down the block in front of their house, to make sure the student didn't miss the bus. These little acts of kindness are what make our school district and community the best place to be!

Mrs. Tareski's class helped us open our boxes of new books donated by the Moorhead Rotary. The Rotary gave $2,000 in new books to all the elementary buildings in Moorhead! What a wonderful donation to our school! Thank you Rotary!

Check out these fourth graders in Sr Casares' class getting to know more about joints, bones, and the human skeleton!
