Principal Message

SGR Families,

Welcome back! We hope that everyone had a great break from school! We’re ready for a full week of school, and have just a few notes to get share with families:

  • 4 BEs: After any extended break it’s always a great time to remind students of the 4 BEs at SGR - BE Respectful, BE Responsible, BE Safe, and BE Kind. Please quiz your child on what each of the four are, and an example or two of what each looks like at school or at home. Thanks!
  • Calendar: We have three full weeks of school, and then half of a week, before our extended winter break. Yes, we’re going to have some fun activities during the month, but we’ll also be working hard. As we’ve stated throughout the year, we’re grateful for our partnership with you as we work together to teach our children!
  • SGR PTAC: PTAC’s PushSave Fundraiser is off to a GREAT START! Our goal of $5,000.00 can only be attained with EVERYONE doing their part! One way to help out is simply by sending 10-15 texts and emails to family and friends to promote our fundraiser today. Everyone gets a chance to create a coupon book in their city, just donate, or gift a coupon book to someone. Send the messages from your Seller Dashboard! If you don't have a dashboard yet, create one here: www.pushsave.com/sgrptac/join
  • Illness: As much as we’d love to be done with Covid, it isn’t done with us. Please help us by continuing to monitor your child/family for any symptoms of illness, especially those connected to Covid, and keep kids home when showing those signs. Extended absences due to illness and/or quarantine are difficult on everyone, so anything that can be done to help minimize it for everyone is greatly appreciated!
  • Emails: We’re continuing to send two emails to each family every Sunday, one in English to everyone, and one in your home language as designated in PowerSchool. We’ll note each one in the subject line of our email for ease of communication.

As always, please reach out to your child’s teacher or us if you have any questions or concerns. It’s a great day to be AWESOME! Skol Vikes!
