SGR Families,

Last week was an AWESOME week! We had so much fun with Read Across America Week, with some incredibly fun and informative dress up days. We also had guest readers in some classes from both Moorhead High School and MSUM, which was amazing. Not to be outdone, but our own 4th grade students were leaders in the school and reading to all of the younger grades as well. Finally, we finished the week with an incredible day of sledding. Overall, it was the best, most normal week we’ve had in almost two years! Thank you all for everything you did to help make it so much fun!

Some quick notes to get us going this week:

  • Conferences: Sign up early this week (online K-3, email teacher grade 4) because they happen next week. Also, we WILL have childcare running in the green room, just off the media center, for ALL sessions! Thanks, SGR PTAC!
  • Book Fair: Speaking of our PTAC, they’ll be running the book fair again in the media center during all conference times. Please stop by and buy some great books for your children!
  • Morning Drop Off: Remember, all sidewalks lead to our main doors. Please drop off anywhere along the sidewalk, rather than in the driving lane. Thanks!
  • Sleds: If for any reason you couldn’t pick up your sled on Friday, we’ll have them in the office all week. Please stop by and pick them up any time.
  • Kids Heart Challenge Complete: SGR raised just over $3,600 for the American Heart Association. Great job! The drawing for the bike will be held next week. Thank you gifts will also be ordered next week and then handed out at school when they arrive. Thanks to all who participated!

It’s going to be another awesome five day week!
