A Message From Our School Social Worker

Spring greetings S.G. Reinertsen Families,

One of our goals at S.G. Reinertsen is to ensure that every student attends school regularly and arrives at school on time. Attending school regularly helps children feel better about school and themselves.  We have a month and a half  left of this school year and we want to help families and students finish STRONG and attend daily

Here are some tips to help support regular attendance:

  • Set a regular bedtime and morning routine.

  • Lay out clothes and pack backpacks the night before.

  • Develop back-up plans for getting to school if something comes up. Call on a family member, a neighbor, or another parent.

  • If your child seems anxious about going to school, talk to teachers, school counselors/social workers, or other parents for advice on how to make them feel comfortable and excited about learning.
