SGR Families,
Welcome to the last week in April! It’s hard to believe, as we saw snow multiple times last week. Hopefully some warmer, drier weather will be in the forecast soon because we’d love to get outside for some outdoor activities!
Notes for this week:
- Attendance: Attendance matters! School attendance for all students, of all ages, at all grades, has significant implications for students not just this year, but for the rest of their lives. As can be seen in this Attendance Matters PDF, students who miss school regularly are more likely to struggle with reading. With only five weeks left this year it’s important to have kids here as much as possible!
- Day of Compassion: Our 4th grade students will have their Day of Compassion retreat this week on Thursday! We’re excited to make this happen again, and plan to return to our fall scheduling next school year for our 4th graders. It’s an awesome event and we’re so excited for it!
- MCA Testing: This is our last week of regular MCA testing this year. Our 4th grade students will be completing their math tests. 3rd/4th graders who have been absent and haven’t tested will have make-up testing this week and next. Please send your child to school with full tummies and well rested!
- Next week: No School next Monday or Tuesday, May 2nd and 3rd. We’ll remind everyone next week, but wanted to give the heads up now.
It’s going to be another awesome week!
