SGR Families,
Happy Sunday, the last Sunday of the 21-22 school year! This is always a bittersweet time of year for us - We’re excited about the growth of our students this year and are happy to send them to the next grade level! At the same time, we’ve all grown attached to them and will miss all of them over the summer, especially those students who will be attending different schools in the fall. So it’ll be a week of both laughter and tears for staff, students, and probably many of you as well!
Notes for the week:
- Yearbooks: If you ordered a yearbook, it has arrived! On Monday staff will pass them out to students/families who ordered them. PTAC ordered some extra ones as well, so if you didn’t order a yearbook but one, there is a chance to purchase them starting on TUESDAY morning at 7:30 am at the front desk. Cash or Check only, and once they are gone, they’re gone.
- Library Books: As of Friday morning we still had 564 books that hadn’t been returned. Please check your child’s backpack for an overdue slip this weekend. If you see one, please help your child locate that book to return tomorrow. If you don’t see one, still have them check for books. Thanks!
- Lost and Found: Items will be displayed in the main hallway this week. Please come in to check out items and encourage your student(s) to do the same! These will be displayed until the end of the day on Friday.
- Field Trips: 3rd grade has both Buffalo River State Park and Sunset Lanes this week, and multiple grades are going to the park, so please be aware of those activities and plan meals/clothing attire accordingly.
- Games To Go: Thank you, SGR PTAC, for helping us out with Games to Go again this year. All classes will have a 45 minute session one day this week with our inflatables in the gym. Vinyl burns are common, both on skin and pants, so dress accordingly!
- Family Survey Goal Setting: As many of you know, we worked hard to implement shared goal setting this year with all families. We invited everyone to complete a survey at October conferences to gauge how it started. Now we’re asking families to complete the same survey to wrap up the year. We sent paper copies home a week ago that included an online option. We’ve linked that same online survey here. Please only complete it once, either online or on paper. Paper copies can be returned to your classroom teacher. Thanks!
- Last Day: Friday is the last day of school for the year. We’ll have our annual Clap Out for our 4th graders this day, as detailed in our email last Friday.
Thank you again for another amazing year of support, partnership, and fun. On behalf of all staff, it has been an honor to work with you and your kids, and we wish you an amazing summer!
Mr. St. Louis and Mrs. Nagel, principals
