Welcome to the second week of school! We hope this email finds you enjoying the holiday weekend! It was an amazing first week of school, even better than we could have imagined. Thank you for all of your support, patience, and excitement in helping the first week be successful. A couple of notes as we head into the second week of school:
PowerSchool Registration - Over 75% of our families have completed their registration, so thank you! This is the easiest way for you to make sure we have accurate information regarding your address, phone number, emergency contacts, etc. If you haven’t completed yours yet, please do so ASAP. It takes about 10-15 minutes to complete for the first child, and then 5-10 for subsequent kids because most of the information can be automatically added.
E-Funds - eFunds is the website the entire district uses for all electronic payments. Payments include lunch money, snack/milk money, and activity fees. It’s an easy way to take care of all payments in one spot
Activity Fees - speaking of activity fees, all elementary students in Moorhead have a $10 activity fee. This can be paid online in eFunds, or by dropping off a check at our front desk. This fee helps cover the cost of activities that classes have during the year, whether it is a field trip or two, celebration parties in the classroom, etc.
Parking Lots - Overall drop off and pick up went pretty smoothly last week. As you’ve seen, it can get very busy. Please continue to help us keep it flowing smoothly. If you enter our lot and there aren’t parking spaces in the middle or along the curb, please exit and use the Brookdale Church parking lot across the road. They are great neighbors and more than happy to accommodate overflow parking for us when they don’t have their own events. We prefer this to stopping in the middle of the parking lot and blocking traffic. We don’t like loading in the driving lane because it is unsafe for our kids and backs up traffic.
Car Wash - Brookdale Church is having a car wash after school this week Wed-Fri. Again, they are great neighbors and very accommodating with our parking lot needs, so please consider getting a car wash this week!
