Principal Message

SGR Families,

Welcome back and Happy New Year! We hope that you had a restful and relaxing break! We’re excited to get back to work, but we’re going to need your help (see note below):

  • Routines/Procedures: After an extended break, one of the first things we do at school is work to re-establish the routines and procedures in our classrooms and throughout the school. We know it will take more than a day to get back into it, but we’ll do our best! If you could help us by asking/reminding your child about those routines/expectations at school (like the 4 BEs) we’d appreciate it greatly! Additionally, this is a great week to re-establish those good habits at home, like lots of sleep and healthy eating, that might have disappeared over the break (or maybe that was just in the St. Louis and Nagel households, ha!). Again, it was a great break, but now we’re excited to be back at it!

  • Collaboration: January is a busy month of collaboration. We’re going to send home mid-year goal checks, as well as post progress reports online, later this month. Please be on the lookout for those items. As always, if you have any questions regarding your child’s education, please make sure you are reaching out to their teacher! They know your child best and will be able to answer any questions you may have. For most teachers, email is the best way to reach out.

We’re excited to see everyone again! Enjoy today and tomorrow, and then we’ll see you on Tuesday!

Mr. St. Louis and Mrs. Nagel, principals
