4th Grade Book Club just finished with the book, " The Truth as Told by Mason Buttle" by Leslie Connor. Our reading connection was to research pictures and the history of the Lascaux Caves. We had great discussions about the themes in this book! So good! @LeslieConnor29

Fill the Dome Food Drive
Dear Parents/Guardians, Dorothy Dodds Elementary will once again be participating in the “Fill the Dome” food drive. Between Monday Nov. 15th and Friday Nov. 19th, students are encouraged to bring in as many non-perishable food items as possible. Any non-perishable food items that are in a can, jar, or box will help with the cause. These items will be donated to the community-wide food drive which helps to stock the Great Plains Food Bank. We are super excited about this project; in previous years, Dodds’ families have generously donated 6,000 food items…...this is AMAZING! We are hoping to have another successful year!! Our goal this year is to collect at least 3,500 non-perishable food items. The class that brings in the most food items will receive a pizza party!!! Please start sending food items with your student on Monday, Nov. 15th. Our last day to collect items is Friday, Nov. 19th. Thank you for helping with this very important effort!
