4th Grade Book Club just finished with the book, " The Truth as Told by Mason Buttle" by Leslie Connor. Our reading connection was to research pictures and the history of the Lascaux Caves. We had great discussions about the themes in this book! So good! @LeslieConnor29
MHS Student Council's Fill the Dome fundraiser has begun! All Moorhead schools will be participating and students are encouraged to bring in non-perishable food items for donation. All items will be donated to the Great Plains Food Bank to give to local families in need. If you’re interested in helping fight hunger in our community, virtual donations can also be made here >> https://greatplainsfoodbank.fenly.org/drive/moorhead-high-school-virtual-food-drive/
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Dorothy Dodds Elementary will once again be participating in the “Fill the Dome” food drive. Between Monday Nov. 15th and Friday Nov. 19th, students are encouraged to bring in as many non-perishable food items as possible. Any non-perishable food items that are in a can, jar, or box will help with the cause. These items will be donated to the community-wide food drive which helps to stock the Great Plains Food Bank.
We are super excited about this project; in previous years, Dodds’ families have generously donated 6,000 food items…...this is AMAZING! We are hoping to have another successful year!! Our goal this year is to collect at least 3,500 non-perishable food items. The class that brings in the most food items will receive a pizza party!!!
Please start sending food items with your student on Monday, Nov. 15th.
Our last day to collect items is Friday, Nov. 19th.
Thank you for helping with this very important effort!

It's the little things for us! 🤗
Recently a parent posted on social media thanking one of our drivers for going above and beyond. We want to highlight John Rasmussen, bus driver at Moorhead Area Public Schools.
He noticed a first grader was running a minute behind. John made an extra stop down the block in front of their house, to make sure the student didn't miss the bus. These little acts of kindness are what make our school district and community the best place to be!
Moorhead High School presents the premiere of their new musical: Bonnie and Clyde! Performances begin on Nov. 12 but ticket sales are available now. For more information or to reserve your ticket, click here >> https://www.isd152.org/article/569204

A book is a gift you can open again and again. 📖 Thank you to the Moorhead Rotary Club who recently donated $10,000 worth of books to Moorhead elementary schools! Along with this amazing donation, Moorhead Rotary provided a dictionary to every 3rd grader, an annual program that students look forward to.
We got some great books from the PTAC Book Fair... available soon! @scholasticfair @moorheadschools @doddsmedia #spudpride #doddssquad
