Our kindergarten artists learned about Jasper Johns and worked to create alphabet art in his unique style.
This week our students are shopping with their classes at the book fair and redeeming their free $6 from PTAC. See the schedule for shopping days and times! The book fair is also open during parent teacher conferences!

As part of Read Across America we are celebrating a favorite author, Mo Willems! We are big fans of them here at Hopkins. You can tell by all the pink and gray!
This week we celebrate reading with Read Across America! Tuesday is dress in grey if Gerald is your favorite and pink for Piggy, Thursday is hat day and Friday is wear a t-shirt that celebrates a book character or dress as a book character.

The Ellen Hopkins PTAC Winter Play Day on Monday, Jan. 21st is being postponed due to low temperatures.
All Moorhead public and non-public schools, including Community Education classes, are closed Tuesday, Feb. 22. Moorhead Area Public School students in grades E-12 and online students are required to complete an eLearning day. All before-school, after-school and evening activities are canceled.
Last week, students at Ellen Hopkins Elementary School made Statue of Liberty crowns to learn about American symbols. They even got a surprise visit from Spuddy and were excited to show off their hard work! #SpudPride

Before-school activities are canceled. Online students and West Central Academy will maintain a regular schedule.
