Congratulations to Mrs. Tahir and Ms. Miller, two amazing first grade teachers at SGR Elementary, for both receiving the Spud Spirit Award. They were both presented this award by Dr. Lunak in front of SGR's entire first grade.

Jude is a #sgrspudoftheweek because he has had a great week. He has taken breaks in my classroom when needed and completed work in my room. Dekker is a #sgrspudoftheweek because he since coming back from our winter break Dekker has been one of the hardest workers in our class! He has put significant effort into improving his handwriting and has been taking initiative to complete all his work with great care! He insists on trying things independently first before asking for assistance from the adults in the room and needs little to no redirection to use his work time well! He has shown a stronger interest in reading and it's showing in his improvement in this area. Mrs. West, who he works with for reading and writing has also noticed how hard Dekker is working to improve! Way to go, Dekker! #SpudPride #LifelongLearningStartsHere
